Cool new york hotels
Check out the Hudson. They are running a special now on www.travelzoo.com It is known to be very hip and trendy.
Cool new york hotels
I was going to recommend the Travelzoo deal on the Hudson as well.
Otherwise look into Hotel QT.
Try these:
Bryant Park Hotel
Hotel Roger Williams
Hotel 70 Park Avenue
The Library Hotel
The Morgan Hotel
The Giraffe
The Paramount
All are sort of off the beaten path but are boutique types, some funky, some cool trendy, some more serene. I don%26#39;t know about rates exactly but I do know that several of them right now are relatively moderately priced, around $225-350 US, which is pretty good for NYC.
hi scotty, we have booked from the 22nd-26th feb at the w times square, the reviews for this particular w seems to get better reviews, i had a room booked at the hudson at a really good price (aboot 100 pound a nt inc of all taxes) but after a bit of research realised how small there rooms are.W has some pretty good deals with in your price range, even some of their superior rooms are in your price range.good luck
Very nice, trendy, with interesting pool, good continental
breakfast(meaning fresh), well located, and well priced
you might want to look at HotelQT which is about a 3+ stars.
W hotels
also QT%26#39;s pool area has been known to have some parties there too which makes it fun.
hipguide.com has a list of hotels (and other things) that would fall in the ';cool'; category. When looking at those type hotels in NYC, one thing many (but not all) seem to suffer from is painfully small rooms. The Hudson has great bars etc. but the rooms are small.
Looking on quikbook.com the Night and the Dream hotel both have prices well below your budget. Go for the larger room options. (Read reviews here).
One thing to consider is location. Many of these hotels are in midtown/Times Square area which is the more typical tourist location. But there are some very cool hotels in cooler areas (Soho, Tribeca, Chelsea) that will bring you closer to trendy bars, clubs and restaurants. The Hotel Gansevoort (meatpacking district) and 60 Thompson (Soho) fall at the upper end of your budget with prices on quikbook (cancellable and refundable). Double check the hotels%26#39; own websites to compare prices.
