we havent really thought about our wedding meal but ive read a lot about the river cafe!! can i ask was it expensive? there will be around 15 or so travelling with us so we kind of need to go somewhere that suits everyone!!

i think we will be in new york for 3 days before we get married so we can arrange our marriage licence on the first day.... We are gettin married at the ladies pavillion in central park- did you go there? is there any other part of central park you think would be nice to have the ceremony?? ive never been to NYC so im kind of starting from scratch when finding out about where to go, what to do and where is nice!!

would you definately reccommend gettin married away?

You can have a look at the River Cafe website to get an idea of the prices - its obviously cheaper to go during the day than on an evening but of course you would miss the sunset!

We spent about $280 for dinner for the two of us but we%26#39;re going back there for lunch in March where its only $40 each.

Or even a dinner cruise might be nice!

There are lots of lovely places in Central Park where you can have pictures taken but I think Ladies Pavillion is a good place to have the ceremony because its covered.

We didn%26#39;t tell anyone we were getting married so it was a big suprise for everyone! We loved it though - it was so nice to have each other all to ourselves rather than have to keep 100 guests entertained.

oh thank you... i was wondering how you replied ( ha ha)- this is my first time using trip advisor but i thought it%26#39;d be useful when finding out all about new york!!!!

that was really good your wedding was all a surprise.. i dont think i could keep somethin as exciting as that all to myself!!!! how did your family etc react??

Everyone was very shocked!

We rang family on the day to tell them but when we got back I emailed friends and people we work with saying - %26#39;Guess what we did in New York%26#39; and attached one of of our wedding photos!

We had a reception a few weeks after we got back so we didn%26#39;t miss out on pressies and got to have our first dance.

It was all amazing - I%26#39;d highly recommend it!
