Cosmo Hotel, Tribeca - anyone aware of construction work?

I have just read a recent review of the Cosmo Hotel (on Trip Advisor), %26amp; the reviewer noted noise from construction. Can anyone advise? We%26#39;ve stayed there before %26amp; think its a great hotel. Staying again in April and hoping that there isn%26#39;t disruption from building work.

They finished the construction on the outside of the Cosmo (no more scaffolding!).

Across the street, there is a new hi-end condo going up. They recently finsihed tearing down the old deco concrete building there. (Do you recall the antique poster store and the creaky, dusty 100-year-old men%26#39;s shoe store on the corner? They%26#39;re gone.)

This will not hinder your travels at all. All the subway entrances on that intersection are open.

Construction in NYC typically is permitted from 8 am to 4 or 5 pm. So, bring earplugs or get breakfast early.

I remember the shoe shop - just like stepping back in time! They should be well on with building the condo when we get there in April (counting the days...).

The Cosmo looks the same, but the stores in the ground floor are improved. There%26#39;s a new little restaurant called The Soda Shop. Honestly, I haven%26#39;t tried it yet.
