Buying a Watch in Nyc

I I am off to NY on Weds...I want to get a watch for my boyfriend...probably a tag heuer one...any tips on which shop/area I should look in as I believe prices can vary lots between shop to shop...

I dont have an insider%26#39;s watch source in the jewelry district, but would definitely check prices on the models you%26#39;re interestd in before you leave home, then go to Tourneau (51st and Madison, on 57th and Madison or on 34th just west of 7th) to compare prices. Armed with that info, you can then head to 47th Street and see if you can do better at any of the stores there.

Hopefully someone else here will have a source....

I just bought a TAG Heuer at the Tourneau in Tortola (BVI) that was $300 cheaper than in the NY store and there was no tax. Of course, the deals are better on Amazon, but I dont know if that%26#39;s for the older model or not. I didnt do as much shopping around as I should have, but 1 month later I am thrilled with the watch and stopped focusing on whether I could have gotten a better price.
