Rent - the musical

I am in NYC for four days at the beginning of Feb, Sat - Weds, and i%26#39;d really like to see Rent, possibly on the Sunday evening. But i don%26#39;t want to commit to buying a ticket, just incase plans change. Does anyone know what the possiblity is of this show being at the booth in Times Sq? Is it a popular show as in, sold out most of the time... or would i be okay to take a chance and get a ticket on the day?

Thanks.

RENT was %26#39;on the board%26#39; as they say in NYC - ALL last week - if that trend continues you should have no trouble getting discount tickets.

Good Luck!

you could also try for the lottery for $20 tickets

It%26#39;s popular but rarely sold out. It%26#39;s been playing a long time. I%26#39;d say chances are good in general to find Rent at the TKTS booth, but you should know not many of the shows have Sun. NIGHT performances. Most just do matinees on Sun. So for someone looking to go on a Sun. night, the options are much more limited. The TKTS booth downtown at the seaport is closed on Suns. right now.

The booth at the Marriott hotel starts selling evening shows at 3 pm.

For more info look at tdf.org/tkts

Thanks for your replies. I looked on ticketmaster.com and Rent does have an evening performance on Sundays at 7pm. I might try for the $20 lottery tickets... how do i go about doing that?

I%26#39;m a big fan of the official discounted ticket booth though, we have the same in London in Leicester Sq, and me and my friend always get our tickets from that whenever we feeling like going to the theatre, turning up and seeing what is available is half the fun! I%26#39;m sure i will find something i like even if Rent isn%26#39;t available. :)

The RENT lotttery is 2 hours before the show.

If you don%26#39;t win, then go to TKTS.
