I loved NY!

Well we got back yesterday after five wonderful action filled days in NY. To be honest going I really was not sure I would like it but as everyone I know has been there, I thought I would just check it out. Wow, it was bigger, better, more beautiful, friendlier and much much more than expected. Weather was kind to us, mild at first then gradually colder to freezing but that was good for walking and sightseeing. We stayed at Radio City Apartments - excellent in every way - great location, great rooms, plenty of space and facilities, very clean, staff very good and friendly and helpful - excellent accomodation and great value. We loved Central Park and visited it several times, did the usual Rock and Empire buildings, Staten Island Ferry, took a train upstate for a day just to see outside the city and lots more I can%26#39;t think straight yet!! We ate really well - wonderful deli next to RCA for lunches and breakfasts, had lovely mexican food at Mi Nidito elnidos.com/minidito/鈥ebsiteminidito.html

best meal we had and wonderful service and value. Shopping in NY was amazing - the variety and value and prices!! Assistants at Century 21 were so grumpy but at Macys it was a pleasure to shop there - great facitities, friendly helpful staff and a huge range of items - we loved it!! Visitors get a discount card, which along with keen prices and sales items, meant we came back heavily laden with bargains!! We were lucky enough to have a Big Apple Greeter show us around and for that we are so grateful. Saw lots of things we would never have found in guidebooks. We fly over and back with Aer Lingus - again a great experience - you were right Polly - Aer Lingus way better!!! Subway was great - took a bit of thought to get it right but a marvellous way of getting around quickly and real value for a weekly pass. Well I think thats about all for now as I am still very tired but just wanted to post while things were fresh in my mind. I will do up a review on RCA and post photos too. New York is something else alright!

I loved NY!

Thanks for the report. Get some rest. ;)

I loved NY!

Thanks for posting! Its good to hear Radio City has your approval since we%26#39;ll be staying there soon - please post back if you remember the name of that deli!

Also, pleased to hear that you coped with the weather as I%26#39;ve been concerned it might be colder than we%26#39;re used to in March!

Hi limerick, so glad you had a great time and flight lol. we go october 27th cant wait.

polly.

Think its called the Backstage Deli - its two doors to your left as you exit, heading out towards TimeSq/Broadway direction. Yummy breakfast/lunches that will fill you up all day. Enjoy yourselves you lucky people! Ah well, we are planning next years trip so can%26#39;t complain too much and it will def be RCA again so thats a good sign? Don%26#39;t worry about cold - good hat, scarf and gloves and you can cope with anything the weather throws at you! Wear layers too as our first few days were too warm!! Be sure to let us know how you get on too! Bon Voyage to you both!

No one goes to Century 21 for the staff%26#39;s helpful attitude or well run cash register area : ) Glad you had fun, come back again
