Help for Pubs, bars + clubs

Hi

Will be in new york for the first time for a few days in mid feb with my boyfriend ( we%26#39;re mid/late 20%26#39;s) and looking for some good pub%26#39;s/bars.

Somewhere we%26#39;ll be able to get a seat, but is good fun.

Goin to a game (Globtrotters not big game) at MSG one night so near there would be great and we%26#39;re hoping to do Saturday night in the village/soho.

Any suggestions would be brill

Also do the bars open late or would u have to move on to a club

Thanks

L

When we go to the Garden our first stop, sometimes we head here after an event also, is the Molly Wee Pub, just a block down from MSG.

It is at 402 8th Avenue on the corner of 30th Street.

Opening hours 11AM to 4AM so unless you%26#39;re till there that late, no need to go to a club afterwards.

Check out their website www.mollyweepub.com lots of info and photos, menus, prices.

There are so many bars/pubs in NYC you%26#39;ll not go wanting for a pint.

Quite a few located near the Garden.

Have fun.

All bars/pubs are open until 4 AM.

Hotel bars and restaurants tend to close/stop serving around 10 or 11 pm.

Sat. night go to Bleecker Street. Can%26#39;t go wrong.

The Red Lion in the village is popular with visitors as they show some of the European football matches.

there%26#39;s a place called Stout-133 w 33rd street, between 6th and 7th avenues-it%26#39;s huge, has many beers on tap and is very close to the Garden-1/2 a block, and also serves food.If you want to move on from there, I would go to the lower east side, there are hundreds of people walking from place to place down there at all times of the night, and there are so many places to stop in for a drink. The village and soho are definately cool to see,but I would walk around there in the afternoon. You guys are in your 20%26#39;s so the lower east side is definately something you want to check out-many bars, lounges and casual restaurants.

Just a note: if you search Google or other websites for Bleecker Street, don%26#39;t forget to include the ';c'; in ';Bleecker';.

Hey

Thanks for all the advice

NYChris or anyone anywhere specific or even a street on the lower east side otherwise id say we%26#39;d probably mannage to miss it all : ). first time to NYC

Thanks again

There are so many people walking around down there on a friday or saturday night you could%26#39;nt miss it if you tried.Start off at Ludlow street between Delancy and Houston, and from there you could branch out to the sidestreets. There are a ton of small restaurants and bars/lounges.If you have something specific in mind, let me know,I%26#39;ll try to help. Also, the east village is pretty cool, and if you want to check it out, I can suggest a couple of places. The lower east side is mostly filled with people in their early to mid 20%26#39;s-east village 20%26#39;s and 30%26#39;s.
