Hi i saw a post regarding sales tax, and peolple where saying that all sales tax has been taken off clothing, is this true?? and is it just clothes or shoe%26#39;s as well.

At present, the 8.375 percent sales tax does not apply to clothing, including shoes, costing $110 or less per item. The NYC mayor is proposing that the 4.375 percent NYC part of this tax be removed for all clothing, including shoes, leaving a 4 percent tax on clothing above $110 per item but this has not happened yet and will not happen in the very near future.
